FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. The ground contact area of the tread portion of the spiked tire includes a center area located in a range of distances corresponding to 5 to 25% of the ground contact width on both sides of the center line of the tire in the tire lateral direction; and two shoulder regions located on either side of the tire lateral center region. In each of the center region and shoulder regions, a plurality of stud mounting holes are disposed along each of four or more stud placement lines extending in the tire circumferential direction. The average value of the adjacent spacing between the stud placement lines in the center area is greater than the average value of the adjacent stud line spacing in each of the shoulder areas. In the first variant, the average value of the intervals between the lines of the placement of the studs in the central zone is 102–120%. In the second embodiment, in each of the central and shoulder regions, the adjacent intervals between the lines of the placement of the pins are equal, and in the third embodiment, they are reduced sequentially or continuously outward in the transverse direction of the tire. The fourth independent claim characterizes a pneumatic tire comprising the spike tire disclosed in the preceding claims.
EFFECT: improved braking performance on icy and snowy road surfaces.
