FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hydrometallurgical technology for processing spent nuclear fuel (SNF), specifically to clarification of low-concentration suspensions formed when dissolving of SNF. Device for clarification of suspensions by filtration comprises vertical housing with equal-density and different-size charge from metallospheric powder with grain size of 1.0 mm ≥ D grains ≥ 0.2 mm and reduction of grain size in direction of clarified flow from bottom to top, lower part of housing, in which filtering charge made in form of cylinder is arranged, and the upper one – in the form of a truncated cone, unions for input and output of the clarified flow, unions for input and output of the regenerating flow. Filter is equipped with inlet chamber, in which there is a combined distribution device consisting of a set of ring elements with a fixed distance between elements and a false bottom separating the filtering load and a cavity formed by the ring elements. Total flow section of ring elements exceeds total flow section of false bottom, and distance between separate ring elements is smaller than size of separate channel of false bottom.
EFFECT: providing clarification of suspensions with upward movement of the clarified flow in a laminar mode with uniform distribution of flow along the filter cross-section and exclusion of large particles ingress on the flow distributor.
