FIELD: valves.
SUBSTANCE: adjusting two-plunger valve includes housing with inlet and outlet branch pipes. Inside the body there are a seat and two gates connected to a rod controlled by a drive. Stem is stepped with sealing elements and collar. First gate is made in the form of a stepped plunger with a sealing element and a sealing surface. Stepped plunger is located coaxially to the second gate with sealing element. Outer surface of the stepped plunger and its inner cavity are cylinder-conic, wherein the height of the cylindrical part of the outer surface is greater than the depth of the cylindrical part of the inner cavity. Taper angle of conic part of outer surface is larger than taper angle of tapered part of inner cavity. On the cylindrical surface of the stepped plunger there are rectangular windows the lower faces of which are located on the boundary of the conical and cylindrical parts of the inner cavity. Sealing element is installed in the lower zone of conical part of the internal cavity of the stepped plunger.
EFFECT: due to two-plunger design, proposed valve has wide range of flow rate control, prevents cavitation and has good tightness in closed position.
