FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to connection of parts stationary relative to each other through sealing element. Butt joint consists of two connected parts, on one of which there is a groove, into which there is a sealing element made in the form of a rubber ring of round section. On end of part equipped with groove there is radial mark arranged behind sealing element. Mark is made along contact length of end surfaces of connected parts, and its width and depth do not exceed value equal to (0.04…0.06) dseal. where dseal. is ring cross-section diameter. To determine the most temperature-loaded joint points on the end of the part equipped with a groove, there are several radial marks uniformly located along the circumference of the end of the said part.
EFFECT: design of butt joint allows detecting defects of sealing element at control tests stage and determining most temperature-loaded joint points.
