SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a surgical system. Disclosed is a robotic surgical system for minimally invasive surgeries comprising at least one robotic arm, operating under control panel (12) intended for the surgeon, characterized by that the panel comprises the tracking "tracking" system for recognizing the surgeon's direction of vision and inputting commands, depending on viewing directions, which have been recognized, and in that it comprises system (21) for determining distance between surgeon's eyes and screen showing working area image, wherein said system for determining distance changes scale and/or position of image of working area displayed on screen, depending on change in distance, which has been determined. Disclosed also is a method of controlling a robotic surgical system for performing mini-invasive operations comprising at least one robotic arm, operating under the control panel intended for the surgeon, according to which the direction of the surgeon's view is recognized and the functions of the surgical system are controlled depending on the direction of sight, which has been recognized, and displaying on the screen an image of the working area, determining the distance between the surgeon's eyes and the screen and changing the scale and/or position of said image depending on distance, which has been determined, and/or signaling about distance finding, which has been determined, within the given working zone of the system for determining distance and/or within a given viewing space of the image of the working area, preferably in three-dimensional mode.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides improved and safer control of this surgical system, and thus, among other things, provides higher safety of surgical system.
