METHOD OF PRODUCING CHITOSAN NANOPARTICLES Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC C08B37/08 B82B3/00

Abstract RU 2727360 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer chemistry and can be used to produce polymer nanoparticles from chitosan. Method involves mixing chitosan with an acid and obtaining an end product. Powder of high-molecular chitosan is used, the acid used is L-aspartic acid powder which are mixed and dispersed in water to produce a solution of chitosan asparaginate with concentration of chitosan (1.8–3.5)·10-2 M and concentration of L-aspartic acid (1.5–3.0)·10-2 M in molar ratio [chitosan(-NH2)] : [acid] = 0.6–2.3. Obtained solution of chitosan asparaginate is filtered, a thin film of ethyl alcohol is formed, on the surface of which a solution of chitosan asparaginate is sprayed in volume ratio [chitosan asparaginate] : [alcohol] = 1:1. Mixture is left to evaporate the liquid at temperature of 20±2 °C with no more than 1 hour to obtain a powder of nanoparticles.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining biologically active, kinetically stable nanoparticles of chitosan with size of 50–80 nm while simplifying the method of obtaining and maintaining high biological activity of the polymer system.
