FIELD: electrical communication engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. To this end, the base station transmits a message to the terminal on switching to the narrowband reception mode, which instructs the terminal to switch to a given narrow band-pass, wherein width of narrow pass band is less than bandwidth of system; and scheduling the base station switching to the system bandwidth to measure the downlink reference signal when the channel state information needs to be measured relative to the downlink channel.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of flexible switching of terminal between narrow bandwidth and system pass band and possibility of SCI information measurement with respect to downlink with reduction of power consumption of terminal.
