FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical measuring technique. Doppler fibre-optic meter of the projectile initial speed comprises a single-frequency laser, a fibre-optic splitter, a collimator, a receiving telescopic system whose optical axis makes an angle ϕ to missile flight trajectory, photodetector and information processing unit. Meter has a second receiving telescopic system, the optical axis of which is directed at an angle ϕ + α to projectile trajectory, wherein output of fibre-optic splitter is connected to input of second fibre-optic splitter, one output of which is connected to input of first fibre-optic mixer, and second output is connected to input of second fibre-optic mixer. Receiving telescopic systems are connected by optical fibre to second inputs of fibre-optic mixers, and outputs of fibre-optic mixers are connected to photodetectors. At that, initial velocity of projectile V is determined by formula taking into account measurement value in each of telescopic systems installed with known and unchanged angle α between their optical axes.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of elimination of measurement error.
