FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device belongs to the field of control and measuring equipment and concerns a laser fiber-optic meter of the initial velocity of a projectile. The meter contains a laser with a radiation frequency ƒ0, a fiber-optic collimator directing laser radiation to the projectile, a mirror telescopic system, fiber splitters and mixers, a biprism, two fiber-optic collimators and two photodetectors. In the mirror telescopic system, a flat opaque rectangular screen is installed in front of an auxiliary mirror. The biprism is installed in front of the focal plane of the main mirror and, together with the screen, divides the field of view of the main mirror into two receiving channels located at an angle α to each other. Two fiber-optic collimators connected to two photodetectors are installed behind the biprism. Fiber splitters and mixers deliver on the first and second photodetectors signals with frequencies Δƒ3=(ƒd1d2) and Δƒ1=(ƒ0d1), respectively, where ƒd1 and ƒd2 represent the frequency of radiation reflected from the moving projectile and accepted by two channels of the telescopic system.

EFFECT: increase in the measurement accuracy at small angles between optical axes of receiving channels.
