SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, in particular, to production of armoured vehicles ensuring safety during armed attack for protection of engine cooling system components and engine compartment under vehicle from bullets and shell fragments. Armoured protection of car radiator contains fixed inclined flaps welded to mounting plate with amplifiers, having in structure external metal casing and internal armoured plates (7, 8) forming "pocket". Inner structure of each radiator grille lamella in its middle part has additional metal inserts (5), the number, shape and arrangement of which can vary depending on protection class of armoured vehicle, manufacturing technology.

EFFECT: technical result is creation of labour-saving in manufacturing, providing reliable protection of vehicle radiator against penetration of hitting elements, bullets, their fragments, including by means of ricochet from metal surfaces.
