FIELD: transport machine building.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to hypersonic vehicles, particularly to air-jet engines and air intake flow restrictors for hypersonic vehicles. Hypersonic vehicle comprises housing; control surface conjugated with housing; and hypersonic air-jet engine, coupled with housing, the engine comprising: a converging air intake comprising a fixed shell having a first cross-sectional area and a neck communicating fluidly with the shell and having a second cross-sectional area, smaller than first cross-section area; and a flow limiter having a third cross-sectional area smaller than the first cross-sectional area, and configured to move between the retracted position and the fully deployed position; wherein when flow limiter is in fully unfolded position between periphery of flow restrictor and inner surface of shell there is uniform gap formed; and the difference between the first cross-sectional area of the shell and the third cross-sectional area of the flow restrictor is approximately equal to the second cross-sectional area of the throat.

EFFECT: this allows creating an effective facility for prevention of high-frequency pressure fluctuations and air intake unblocking, which can be used during acceleration and deceleration of hypersonic vehicle.
