FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials for application of composite wear-resistant coatings by methods of gas thermal deposition and can be used for production of wear-resistant coatings of working elements of machines, such as excavating, drilling, tillage and sowing, working in intensive contact with abrasive medium. Powder material for application of wear-resistant gas-thermal coating by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis consists of mixture of nickel-based alloy powder containing chromium, boron, silicon, iron and carbon, and silicon oxide powder at following ratio of components, wt. %: silicon oxide powder - 10, nickel-based alloy powder - 90.

EFFECT: coating produced from powder material provides high wear resistance of surface of working elements of machines due to obtaining in coating of structure formed by matrix of metal powder on base of nickel, in volume of which particles of silicon oxide are distributed.
