SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an agent for preventive and/or therapeutic treatment of infections and/or inflammations caused by pathogenic bacteria belonging to the species Propionibacterium acnes (versions). In one version, the agent is a strain, wherein the strain relates to a strain of bacteria Lactobacillus salivarius LS03—DSM 22776 or Lactobacillus salivarius LS04—DSM 24618, or Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. delbrueckii LDD01 (DSMZ 20074)—DSM 22106, or Lactobacillus reuteri LRE04—DSM 23880, or Bifidobacterium pseudolongum ssp. globosum BPS01—DSM 26456. In another version, the agent is a composition, wherein the composition contains at least one of the above strains and a physiologically acceptable carrier.
EFFECT: inventions provide effective treatment of infections and/or inflammations related to the type of Propionibacterium acnes, allowing to avoid or ensure reduction of soap and detergents application, as well as use of antibiotics.
