SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an authentication device between vehicles. Authentication method between vehicles comprises stages, at which vehicle controller A receives the first image from the camera of vehicle A, receives the second image from vehicle B, performing at least one of (a) and (b). Step (a) comprises determining first estimated distance between vehicle A and vehicle B in accordance with analysis of first image, determining second estimated distance between vehicle A and vehicle B in accordance with analysis of second image, determining that the difference between the first estimated distance and the second estimated distance corresponds to a threshold value of the distance condition. Step (b) comprises determining a first estimated angle between vehicle A and vehicle B in accordance with analysis of a first image, determining second estimated angle between vehicle A and vehicle B in accordance with analysis of second image and determining that the difference between the first estimated angle and the second estimated angle corresponds to the threshold condition of the angles, and the vehicle B is authenticated.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of vehicle authentication.
