FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for detecting interference signals transmitted from moving vehicles. Method for identification of onboard transmitting device emitting interfering signal in predetermined frequency band, wherein the method comprises a step of monitoring a predetermined frequency band at a first location in order to identify emission of a noise producing signal from the passing vehicle. If the noise producing signal is detected, the method further comprises a step of capturing a first image of the passing vehicle to enable determination of the identifier of the passing vehicle. Bandwidth monitoring in a first location comprises steps of, at first, collecting phase change data corresponding to a phase difference between a first phase and a second phase, wherein the first phase is the phase of the interference-generating signal received in the first position, and the second phase is the phase of the interference-generating signal received in the second position. Secondly, position of passing vehicle in image is evaluated from phase change data. System for identification of onboard transmitting device emitting interfering signal in preset frequency band includes detector arranged in first location and chamber. Firstly, detector has a first antenna in a first position and a second antenna in a second position and a phase difference analyzer module. Secondly, the image processor is configured to evaluate the position of the passing vehicle in the image from the output of the phase difference analyzer module. Method and system comprise versions.
