FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geochemical methods of hydrocarbon search and can be used in search and prediction of availability of hydrocarbon deposits. Disclosed is a method of geochemical prediction, including determining a list of hydrocarbon compounds capable of migration, from a sample of hydrocarbon fluid of one of deposit deposits, determination according to the list of hydrocarbon compounds capable of migration, reference quantitative hydrocarbon composition of samples obtained during geochemical testing in the zone of established presence of hydrocarbon influx, determination of hydrocarbon compounds capable of migration, reference quantitative hydrocarbon composition of samples obtained during geochemical testing in the zone of established absence of hydrocarbon influx. Method also includes obtaining hydrocarbon samples as a result of geochemical local testing in territory of prediction of hydrocarbon deposits and determination of hydrocarbon compounds capable of migration, quantitative hydrocarbon composition of said samples and assigning each hydrocarbon sample obtained on territory of prediction of hydrocarbon deposits to place of predicted presence or absence of hydrocarbon influx by criterion of similarity of quantitative hydrocarbon composition of samples obtained as a result of area geochemical testing, reference hydrocarbon compositions of samples obtained during geochemical testing in zones of established presence and absence of hydrocarbon influx.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency and accuracy of prediction of availability of hydrocarbon deposits, as well as shorter analysis time of hydrocarbon composition of samples obtained during geochemical testing, and simplification of sampling.
