FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: snow samples are taken at the end of the winter period. At that, samples are taken at the distance of 0.3 m above the Earth surface at points of a regular network or profile with a pitch of 250-2000 m. Concentrations of metal organic compounds are determined in melt water. Surface areas, which are perspective for oil and gas, are outlined as per abnormal concentrations of the chosen chemical elements-indicators.
EFFECT: improving informativity reliability and reducing search labour intensity.
