FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geochemical methods of hydrocarbon search. Deposit hydrocarbon fluid sample is taken. Biomarker coefficients are determined as a part of the hydrocarbon fluid sample of the deposit by compounds capable of migration and characterized by close migration rates. Biomarker coefficients are determined in composition of samples obtained as a result of area geochemical testing, using compounds used to determine biomarker coefficients of hydrocarbon fluid of deposit. Places where the samples were obtained as a result of the area geochemical testing are related to the place of the predicted presence of hydrocarbon influx at the correspondence of the biomarker coefficients of these samples to the biomarker coefficient of the hydrocarbon fluid of the deposit.
EFFECT: high efficiency and accuracy of prediction of availability of hydrocarbon deposits.
