FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road construction and is intended for quality control of road pavements by measuring porosity without disturbing surface of road pavement. Device contains one vacuum source of air in the form of a bellows, walls of the bellows are made from elastic material providing elastic deformation of the bellows at its compression and tension. System of arcing of rarefaction source is represented by manual pressing on upper end wall of bellows with installed check valve for bleeding air at manual compression of bellows to extreme lower position relative to platform with hole. Platform is located between working chamber and bellows, at that it has rectangular shape, edges of elongated side of which are platforms for operator's step with both feet. Side walls of the working chamber consist of two elastic rings of different diameter, installed coaxially with a gap between them in 8–10 mm. Rings are stitched between themselves in the middle of their height with a strong thread. In the cylindrical space between the side walls of the working chamber there is a super elastic rubber-and-polymer substance. System for measuring the filling time of a bellows passing through a layer of a sealed road surface with air is represented by a cylindrical pipe with a rectangular window in its upper lateral part attached to the platform by its lower part and coaxially to the bellows. Lower horizontal edge of the window is a level meter. When aligning the upper end wall of the bellows when it is opened, the time of filling the bellows with air passing through the road surface, the working chamber and the hole in the platform is recorded.

EFFECT: simplified design of the device, measurement process and increased measurement accuracy.
