SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, a system and a computer-readable data medium for providing services based on blockchains. Method comprises collecting target appearance data that comprises a physical object configured to access a blockchain as a member; recording, in a distributed database associated with said blockchain, appearance data as identification data of the target object; receiving the target transaction initiated by the member device in the blockchain, wherein the target transaction comprises target entity appearance data which are collected by the member node device, and a service event associated with the target object and which is detected by the member node device; applying a smart contract that corresponds to a service event; and performing, based on the identification data indicated by the target object appearance data, service logic set forth in the smart contract.
