FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for processing data related to an event of damage for a target product. In the method: current appearance data of the target product is collected from an optical sensor of a blockchain node device; initial appearance data is requested and received; current and initial appearance data are compared; it is determined that an event occurred with the damage to the target product; a smart contract is broadcasted in the blockchain, while the consensus on the damage event is jointly determined by a set of node devices participating in the blockchain; a smart contract is applied in response to the specified consensus; the logic of processing claims for damage to goods specified in the smart contract is performed; and the processing of claims for damage to goods for the target product is completed.
EFFECT: increase in the speed and accuracy of data processing, when processing a claim for damage to goods.
