FIELD: calculating; counting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method for configuring a modulation format for transmissions from a plurality of wireless communication devices to a network node, wherein network node supports both of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing modulation formats with expansion by Discrete Fourier Transform (DFTS-OFDM) and OFDM, method comprises a step of transmitting an indication to one or more of said plurality of wireless communication devices to configure a modulation format for transmitting message 3 random access from said one or more wireless communication devices. Modulation format to be configured is DFTS-OFDM, wherein transmission of said indication contains an indication in the System Information Unit (SIB) of the broadcast channel.
EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of selecting a modulation format depending on certain network conditions and as a result, a more optimum modulation format can be used.
