FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of linear displacements of machine tools before or during machining. Device comprises a housing, which support side is made magnetic with possibility of installation on fixed part of machine, and other adjacent housing side is made with cut-out and measuring magnetic slider is arranged outside of it, made with possibility of connection with machine movable element. Inside the housing there is a measuring ruler arranged along said adjacent side of the housing and a displacement sensor connected to the microprocessor, and measuring slider is rigidly connected to measuring ruler with possibility of their joint movement along said slot, which is measured by displacement sensor.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows to expand technological capabilities of the device with simplification of its design and improvement of reliability of operation.
