SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to device and method for continuous application on metal strip (1) of coating by hot dipping. Device (10, 100) comprises tank (11) intended for content of bath (12) of liquid metal, lower roller (15), installed in tank (11) and intended for immersion into bath (12) of liquid metal, casing (13) for movement of metal strip (1), lower end of which is intended for immersion into bath (12) of liquid metal for installation by means of surface of said bath (12) and inner side of said casing (13) of seal (14) from liquid metal. Casing (13) supports, at its lower end, filling box (49) limiting the front liquid dispensing section (25) for liquid metal, located on side of metal strip (1) located on side of lower roller (15), and liquid back filling compartment (29) located opposite side of metal strip (1), which is not located on lower roller (15) side, wherein each dispensing compartment (25, 29) is restricted inside inner wall (20, 26) and outside with outer wall (22, 28), wherein upper edge (21, 27) of each inner wall (20, 26) is intended for location below surface (14) of liquid seal to provide flow from said surface (14) to each of said dispensing compartments (25, 29). At that, outer rear wall (28) of rear filling compartment (29) is made so that it forms with plane of passage of metal strip (1) angle (α), greater than or equal to 15°, in used layout.

EFFECT: technical result is providing continuous application of hot dip coating, which enables to obtain a strip with a coating having low density of defects on each side of the strip.
