FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device and a method for continuous application of a coating on a metal strip by dipping into a bath with a melt. Device comprises vessel (11) for containing bath (12) of liquid metal, lower roller (15), intended for immersion into bath (12), moving housing (13) for metal strip (1), which lower end is made with possibility of its immersion into bath (12) with liquid metal, to define by means of surface of said bath (12) and inner space of said housing (13) seal (14) of liquid metal. Housing (13) comprises upper part (45) and lower part (57), said lower part (57) carries on itself an intermediate teeming ladle (49), delimiting at least two sections (25, 29) for pouring of liquid metal, wherein each separation section (25, 29) is delimited in direction inward by inner wall (20, 26), wherein inner wall (20, 26) includes upper rim (21, 27), wherein upper rim (21, 27) of each inner wall (20, 26) is intended to be located below surface of seal (14) of liquid metal, to create a flow from said sealing surface (14) into each of said casting compartments (25, 29). Housing (13) with intermediate pouring ladle (49) is made with possibility of rotation relative to metal strip (1) around first rotation axis (A1), and intermediate pouring ladle (49) is made with possibility of rotation relative to upper part (45) of housing (13) around second axis (A2) of rotation, wherein second axis (A2) of rotation is substantially parallel to first axis (A1) of rotation.

EFFECT: enabling the possibility of positioning the body relative to the metal strip and controlling the flow velocities more flexibly and accurately while limiting the amplitude of the required movement.
