FIELD: coatings.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to equipment for continuous coating of a metal strip by hot immersion, a method for depositing a metal coating by applying a metal coating by hot immersion, and a method for replacing a worn lower part of the nose as a result of the hot immersion coating process on said equipment. The equipment comprises an annealing furnace, a tank with a liquid metal bath, a nose connecting the annealing furnace and the tank and configured for a metal strip to pass through said nose in a protective atmosphere, and an overflow apparatus. The lower part of said nose constituting a tip is at least partially immersed in the liquid metal bath to form a liquid seal together with the surface of the bath and the inside of said nose. The overflow apparatus is not connected with the nose and comprises at least one tray located near the entrance of the strip into said liquid metal bath and surrounded by said liquid seal.
EFFECT: invention facilitates correct positioning of the overflow apparatus during continuous coating of a metal strip by hot immersion, and provides a simple and reliable apparatus for adjusting the overflow apparatus, facilitating replacement thereof.
