SUBSTANCE: method for planning prevention and monitoring of accidents associated with accumulation of water for a mine containing a coal bed in form of a main water-bearing horizon, by determining the amount of discharged water in the water draining system in the working face, determining whether there is a partial syncline in the working face and whether the formation roof erosion zone and adjoining mined rocks are present in the working face, control calculation is carried out and provision is made for water removal of working face and water is removed from the worked rock beforehand.

EFFECT: such method is applicable to underground coal mines and enables to offer a specific prevention measure and elimination of water accumulation depending on results of collecting information on several objects and based on the corresponding standard of determination, to provide early warning for several types of water breakthrough, to reduce losses caused by hazardous events as a result of accidents associated with mine waters, and even to reduce personnel losses caused by hazardous events as a result of accidents related to mine waters.
