FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a bitumen-polymer composition for road applications and/or to obtain surface coatings and/or membranes, a method of producing said composition and use thereof to obtain a surface coating, a hot bitumen mixture, a warm bitumen mixture, a cold bitumen mixture, a cold-rolled bitumen mixture, emulsion gravel, as well as waterproof coating, membrane or insulating coating. Bitumen-polymer composition contains bitumen, from 0.5 to 20 wt % of at least one elastomer, from 0.05 to 2.5 wt % of at least one olefin polymer additive, functionalised with at least glycidyl functional groups and 0–5 wt % additives relative to the total weight of the bitumen-polymer composition. Elastomer is selected from thermally crosslinkable block copolymers of formula S-B1-B2, in which S is a monovinylaromatic hydrocarbon block, maximum molecular weight of which ranges from 10000 to 25000, B1 is a polybutadiene block, content of vinyl in which is 15 mol % or less, B2 is a polybutadiene block, content of vinyl in which is 25 mol % or more, weight ratio of B1/B2 is 1 or more, and in which maximum molecular weight of block copolymer S-B1-B2 ranges from 40000 to 200000. Elastomer also contains at least one thermally cross-linked block copolymer corresponding to formula (S-B1-B2)nX, in which each S is a monovinylaromatic hydrocarbon block having a maximum molecular weight of 10000 to 25000, each B1 is a polybutadiene block, content of vinyl in which is 15 mol % or less, each B2 is a polybutadiene block, content of vinyl in which is 25 mol % or more, n is integer from 2 to 6, and X is a residue of a binding agent, in which the weight ratio of B1/B2 is 1 or more, and the maximum molecular weight of the block copolymer (S-B1-B2)nX is 1.5–6.0 times greater than the maximum molecular weight of the block copolymer S-B1-B2. Weight ratio of elastomer/additive in composition ranges from 15/1 to 2/1.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a composition having improved tensile strength and satisfactory storage stability.
