FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to drug delivery systems for treating nail diseases, namely a pharmaceutical composition for use in treating or preventing pathological conditions of nails, selected from a group comprising psoriasis and onychomycosis. Pharmaceutical composition contains poloxamer 407, penetration enhancer, solubilising agent, biologically active substance and carrier, containing water and alcohol C1-C3 or mixtures thereof, where volume ratio water: alcohol C1-C3 is in range from 4:1 to 1:4. Also disclosed is a method of preparing the composition and a kit containing the composition.
EFFECT: disclosed is a novel water-alcohol composition which enhances the penetration and diffusion of the drug to the nail and into the nail.
