SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental strength of structures under action of impulse loads and can be used, in particular, to confirm strength of structures of various machine building industries, as well as products of oil and gas industry, to which strength requirements in conditions of explosive action are required. Explosive device for creation of shock wave, containing charges of explosive substance and charge detonation initiation system, includes housing made in the form of parallelepiped-shaped cassette and consisting of covers and end and side planks. On the end plate there installed are explosive charges placed in cartridges, besides, the spatial configuration of charges and weight of charges are varied.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the reliability and accuracy of experiment results.
