SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling engineering, in particular to a device for cutting a "window" in a casing string, and can be used in drilling oil and gas wells to change trajectory of the well shaft during emergency operations or drilling of additional shafts in the well. Wedge diverter comprises guide wedge with working surface, groove arranged on opposite side of working surface, for arrangement of high pressure hose and chamber, which cavity is located in housing, rigidly connected with lower part of wedge, which is connected with high-pressure hose. Body is made in the form of a cylinder with cut lobes in the upper and lower parts, at the ends of which there are dies of diameter equal to the inner diameter of the casing string. In the upper part the die located on the side of the working surface of the wedge has thickness more than the other dies in this part. In the lower part the die located on the side opposite to the working surface of the wedge has a thickness larger than the other dies in this part. In the cylindrical housing on the guide tube connected to the high-pressure hose opposite to each other there are pistons in the form of truncated cones with the possibility of free movement along the guide tube, ends of which form a high-pressure chamber. Guide tube in the zone of the high pressure chamber has holes.

EFFECT: higher reliability of its operation, reduced weight of equipment.
