FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of block heat-resistant foamed glass and can be used in nuclear engineering, as well as in construction materials industry. To achieve said technical result, proposed method of producing block heat-resistant glass involves combined grinding of components with a foaming agent, heating foaming mixture, foaming in metal moulds, stabilization, quenching, annealing, wherein in foaming agent additionally battling high-alumina refractory with liquid glass at ratio of 10:3 respectively in amount of 5–7 wt. %, foaming mixture is heated at rate of 4.5 °C/min with holding at maximum temperature 780 °C for 30 minutes, abrupt cooling to temperature of 590 °C is carried out at rate of 2.5 °C/min, and annealing for 10 hours.
EFFECT: technical result of proposed invention consists in improvement of end product quality and duration of technological process.
