FIELD: production of building materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a coating of block foam glass. The method for obtaining a coating on block foam glass includes fine grinding of a coating mixture containing finely ground glass, compaction of the charge for coating using a press, pouring the foam mixture into metal moulds, laying the compacted charge tile on the surface of the foam mixture and heating the foam mixture. The composition of the mixture for coating, in addition to glass, additionally contains 20-25 wt.% of a mixture of finely divided crystalline schists, kaolin and colemanite in a ratio of 5:2:1, respectively. Heating of the foaming mixture with the coating is carried out at a rate of 20°C/min at 680°C with an exposure of 15 minutes.

EFFECT: improvement of quality of the foam glass while accelerating the process of obtaining a coating.
