FIELD: production of building materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to coating of block foam glass, and can be used in industry. A method for applying coating on block foam glass is claimed, including fine grinding of the mixture, pouring the foaming mixture into metal moulds, compacting the charge for coating on a press, laying the compacted charge tile on the surface of the foaming mixture and heating the foaming mixture. At the same time, finely ground glass and a mixture including finely ground cullet of high-alumina firebrick, kaolin and colemanite at a ratio of 10:5:1 in an amount of 20-25% by weight are introduced into the composition of the mixture used for fine grinding. The foaming mixture on the coating is heated at a rate of 20°C/min at a temperature of 710°C with exposure time of 20 minutes.

EFFECT: improvement of quality of the final product while accelerating the process of obtaining a coating.
