FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of machine building. Worm-screw differential comprises a toothed system in which between intermediate four gears, along the longitudinal axis, there is an intermediate axis perpendicular to it, with two intermediate gears fixed on its ends, diameters of which are less than or equal to diameters of extreme pinions. On ends of extreme pinions there are slots, walls of which are made with specified reduced strength, in which there are two pins with specified increased strength, made on ends of pinion, which together form a means of protection against excessive overloads. Lines of engagement, engaged slots and studs, determine destructed points, breaks, walls of slots under action of excessive overloads, at that preset numerical threshold of overload, breakage of protection means against excessive overloads is less than numerical values of overload threshold, breakage, teeth of helical lines along helix of satellites, worm pinions, and teeth or splines of semi-axes. On one side, from the transverse axis of symmetry of the housing in the gear complex, the teeth of the helical lines along the helix of the satellites and the worm gear are made with the right version of the teeth inclination, and on opposite side of the transverse axis of symmetry of housing teeth are made in left version of inclination of teeth.
EFFECT: invention provides for expansion of technological capabilities of differential.
