FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed differential comprises annular housing 1 accommodating two coaxial axle helical gears 2, 3 with equal and unilateral inclination of teeth, and sun gears 5, 6 meshed there between and with axle gears 2, 3. Spur pinions with conical faces are arranged in housing dead inclined cylindrical holes arranged in pairs on housing opposite sides and communicated in zone of gearing of every pair of pinions. Inclination of pinions in housing equals axle gear teeth inclination to equal locking angle β. Pinion conical faces are arranged to make obtuse cone base angle equal locking angle β on one side of pinions while, on opposite side, angle at taper face vertex equals or differs from that of dead hole conical end by ±3 degrees.
EFFECT: increased locking factor, simplified design, lower costs.
