FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining impurities in liquid media and can be used to control purity, viscosity and transparency of technical fluids. According to the disclosed method, the liquid state is determined by determining the characteristics of resultant intensity distributions (speckle images) recorded as a result of passage of a vortex laser beam with a screw phase dislocation of the wave front through controlled liquid samples. That is ensured by determining the correlation coefficient of speckle images recorded from the liquid sample in the disturbed state of the liquid and in a state of rest.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of determining impurities in working fluids.
