SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of diagnostics and quality control of liquids. Method for determining impurities in liquid media is based on comparing speckle images obtained after laser beam passing through a sample of a controlled liquid, which was held for some time before the complete settling of the impurities, and through a sample of the controlled liquid, which is in an excited state. Recorded speckle images are compared by a decision-making device by means of calculating the correlation coefficient between the two speckle images obtained. Based on the value of the obtained correlation coefficient, the decision-making device determines the presence or absence of impurities.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of the determination of impurities in liquid media.
