FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of real-time measurement and control of foaming of process fluid medium during treatment of fluid medium. Method comprises: providing side flow (3) of process fluid medium (1) to vessel (8) of foaming chamber while maintaining constant level of process fluid medium in foaming chamber vessel and in which can be artificially created foam, creation of foam and accumulation of foam (11) in vessel (8) of foaming chamber, emission of signal from non-contact optical sensor (16) of measurement of distance, wherein emitted signal (17) is reflected from accumulated foam (11) surface back to measuring sensor (16), signal transmission to microprocessor (19), which calculates height of accumulated foam based on constant level of process fluid medium (15) in vessel (8), and control amount of defoamer supplied to process flow.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of accurately simulating and measuring the formation of the foam of the analyzed system of process fluid medium regardless of physical changes in this system, elimination of special compositions of anti-foaming agents, which are good at destruction, and therefore expansion of selection of suitable products available for end user.
