FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environmental protection and can be used for reclamation of lands contaminated with arsenic and other heavy metals. Agent contains a composition of silicon and iron preparations. Silicon preparation is amorphous silicon dioxide with surface area of 30 m2/g to 400 m2/g, which is selected from a group consisting of synthetic silicon, silicon, obtained from industrial waste, where iron is used as an iron preparation. Ratio of iron and silicon in weight ratio ranges from 1/10 to 1/30. Iron preparation is iron sulphate III. Synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide is selected from a group which includes pyrogenic silica, finely ground quartz or other natural silicon dioxide with SiO2 content of not less than 85 %. Amorphous silicon dioxide obtained from wastes from industry is selected from a group comprising ash, microsilica and other silicon-containing compounds with SiO2 content of not less than 85 %.

EFFECT: agent reduces toxic effect of arsenic on living organisms and arsenic mobility in soils and grounds.
