SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of improving hydration and water consumption in an animal in which a hydrating composition is administered to an animal. Hydration composition can contain water and a hydration additive, wherein the hydration additive essentially consists of sugar alcohol and protein, wherein the sugar alcohol contains glycerin, and the protein contains milk whey. Besides, the method of intensifying hydration and increasing water consumption in an animal may include administering to the animal a composition for hydration with water.
EFFECT: proposed method of improving hydration and water consumption in an animal provides improved state of health in an animal, increases its resistance to stress.
