FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for measurement of speed, rectilinear motion of conductors with current, in particular, when controlling speed of current-conducting plasma clots in electrodynamic magnetoplasma accelerators. Invention is a method of measuring speed of conductor with current in section of trajectory between two identical induction sensors, containing measurement of current I flowing in conductor. In accordance with the proposed method, the difference signal ud(t) of two said sensors disturbed by the field of a moving conductor is continuously measured, an auxiliary coefficient K is calculated and the speed of the conductor is determined.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is that there is a linear relationship between the primary measurement signal and the value of the speed of the conductor with current, thereby solving the problem of simplifying measurement of speed.
