FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of speed of rectilinear motion of current-carrying conductors. SUBSTANCE: method measuring speed of motion of current-carrying conductor across section between two identical variable reluctance position pickups with bell-shaped transfer characteristic is based on uninterrupted measurement of signals U1, U2 of disturbance of two above-mentioned pickups by field of moving conductor. Value of scaling coefficient Xe numerically equal to value of motion of conductor corresponding to change of output signal of position pickup by factor of e is assumed before start of measurement. In accordance with invention current i flowing through conductor is continuously measured in conductor in process of speed measurement and speed v of motion of current- carrying conductor is found as where is constant coefficient; μ0 = 4π•10-7 is magnetic constant; NSp is correspondingly number of turns and area of section of coil of variable reluctance pickup. EFFECT: increased noise immunity of method measuring speed of motion of current-carrying conductor. 1 dwg
