FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of wind-driven power plant (100). Wind-driven power plant (100) has aerodynamic rotor (106) with rotor hub and rotor blades (202), in which blade angle can be adjusted, and aerodynamic rotor (106) can be adjusted with respect to its azimuthal direction, and the method comprises steps of detecting a storm situation in which prevailing wind is so strong that wind-driven power plant (100) is switched to passive mode for self-protection purposes, orientation of rotor (106) with respect to its azimuthal position in orientation of low load relative to wind, wherein in this orientation wind-driven power plant (100) is subjected to minimum possible load by wind from main wind direction, detection of at least one load (LM), which is caused by gust and acts on rotor, and adjustment of at least one of rotor blades (202) with respect to its blade angle so, that at least one rotor blade (202) is subjected to minimum possible load due to specified causing gust of wind.
EFFECT: method of controlling a wind-driven power plant is disclosed.
