SUBSTANCE: invention refers to using the composition for treating the pain associated with the intervertebral disc. Composition contains lactic acid in concentration of at least 12 mmol/l and pH lower than 4. Composition is introduced into the disk space including the pulpous nucleus of the intervertebral disc.
EFFECT: invention provides more effective treatment of pain associated with intervertebral disc, by accelerating disk aging and converting the pulpous nucleus into a connective tissue with increasing lactic acid concentration in the intervertebral disc.
