SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and, in particular, to a system and a method of determining when in an uplink time slot a subscriber device (UE) is to begin transmission. Disclosure relates to method (50) implemented in a network radio node, to determine an initial symbol for scheduled uplink transmission by a UE. Method includes selection (52) of an initial symbol in an uplink time slot for scheduled uplink transmission by the UE and identification (54) of an initial symbol for the UE.

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of accurate indication of initial position for uplink transmissions for network and subscriber device (UE).
