FIELD: transportation, packaging and storage.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of preventing undesirable movement of loads during transportation and storage, in particular, to methods and devices for fastening pipes. Method of fastening a stack of pipes involves laying rows of pipes on a support base, forming and fixing a stack using a cushion and tightening material and its attachment using a clamping device. Support base and cushion material are made of solid material with recesses for appropriate pipes, tightening material is made in form of at least one upper strap, which is installed on upper stack pipes, with flexible rods, consisting of two parts, which are connected by means of a hook on one side and a gate with a toggle lever - on the other for pressing the upper strap together with the pipes to the support base. Clamping device for fastening of stack of pipes includes support base and at least one upper strap located opposite to upper and lower sides of clamped pile, which are tightened by flexible rods, consisting of sections connected by tension locks to provide required clamp force of stack. Each tension lock is made in the form of a hook and a bolt connected by a flap lever, wherein one part of each of the flexible rods is equipped with a hook, and the other part - with a lock with a toggle lever, wherein at least one part of said flexible rod is furnished with adjustable length to provide required clamp force.

EFFECT: disclosed method of fastening pipes and clamping device for implementing the method are simple and reliable, since they have a small number of simple and reliable structural elements, which enable to quickly and reliably secure to stack any number of pipes of any standard size.
