SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Disclosed is a machine-implemented method of providing user with information relevant to events, comprising steps of: obtaining data indicating which searches were carried out by the search service, when the media service displayed different types of events which were perceived by users of the plurality of computing devices; based on said data, popular search queries, by means of which search by a given plurality of computing devices was carried out, while users perceived the same type of event; based on said popular search queries, a machine learning model rule which specifies a specific search query from said popular search queries to perform it, when a specific action takes place when the user perceives a future output device of the same type of event; storing said specific search request with said specific action identifier; determining that said user of computing device receives current output having said same type of event, in response to determining that the external audio or video captured by the computing device includes indicating sounds or images related to the same type of event; and in response to said determination that a computing device user senses a current output of the same type of event: determining whether or not the said specific action has occurred during the current output having the same type of event, in response to determining that said particular action has occurred or should occur during a current output having said same type of event, retrieving, based on the identifier of that particular action, said specific search request, search is carried out by means of this specific search request and output by means of the specified computing device during current output, having the same type of event, indication of information returned from the specified performance of search by means of a specific search request.
EFFECT: technical result is providing user with information relevant to events.
