SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric measuring equipment. Summary: high-frequency signal is generated in high-voltage line with measurement of wire temperature. Method includes determining swinging range of wires at wind load by maximum change of mutual resistance determined by first ratio of voltage at end and current at the beginning of section. Second ratio of the current at the end and the voltage at the beginning of the section are determined, and the change in the frequency of the high-frequency signal, equality of the maximum relatively fast and slow changes of the first and second ratios, which characterize the value of the ice-wind load and the intensity of the corona of the overhead line, respectively.
EFFECT: technical result is determination of ice-wind loads of overhead lines above 6 kV and beginning of frost formation based on corona of overhead lines above 110 kV taking into account wire temperature.
