FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: generate the high-frequency signal to the high-voltage line with the wires temperature measurement and adjust the first and the second values of the high-frequency signal at total current equality to zero at the beginning and at the end of the line section in the absence and presence of precipitation, respectively. Determine the squared ratio of the first to the second frequency value, which characterizes the amount of precipitation. Determine the double amplitude of wires while the wind load according to the maximum change of the mutual resistance, determined by the voltage ratio at the end and the current at the beginning of section at half value of the second frequency.
EFFECT: detection of the icing beginning taking into account the temperature, wind loads and precipitation on the distributed sections of the unbranched and branched overhead lines.
